I'll probably play a bit more today but I'm just not enjoying it. It doesn't feel like GW. It feels like a WoW clone.

gee I am glad I am not the only one who thinks that--it just isnt anything I really want to play---guns?? in a magic setting??? and then no secondaries, no mouse movement, no henchmen...might as well play a psp or wii game instead.

Damn it cosy. You hit all the same points I had. And apparently you can move via mouse but you have to hold down both the right and left mouse buttons. Pain in the arse.

I think that is my biggest hold up. The reason I liked GW was because it was different from the Blizzard games of WoW and Diablo (all 3, though 3 obviously wasn't out yet). I liked it for what it was. Then they came and completely changed it to make it more like WoW. Just makes it hard to play now...

I did TRY to move holding BOTH mouse buttons down...I hit trees, fences....its very hard to do and have any kind of control.
(EVERYTHING I liked about gw they removed and left a first person shooter in a guildwars-esk universe....got PLENTY of them to choose from---actually reminded me of a box game that my bro-in-law had...EXACTLY like it--and that was about 5 years ago).

my biggest hold up was my computer crashing....and I have a relatively newish computer (duo core or did we do quad?, rebuilt 2ish years ago)....when I have to shut everything down on my computer to play a game...its either time for a new computer (did that already) or a different game....and since my new-ish computer couldnt handle it, my hubbys 9 year old (can barely play gw now) certainly couldnt...and the whole reason we started to play gw was so we could play together (and not with 100000000 people camping on spots)...I LIKE instances...gets rid of the immature kids who managed to get mommy to buy them an online game without a monthly fee.....sorry soap box....I can see that the same things that plague gw (towns with kids talking about things that know nothing about, people drawing things on the minimap--though no mm exists in gw2

and just having to turn off the chat channel to get to play without having to listen to craap like that---) are going to be rampant in gw2...hope everyone likes playing with all the immature 'kids' out there. (yeah peeps say that its not like that NOW--just wait til it goes live).

got plenty of other places to spend my hubbys hard earned cash...perhaps another spa day------

Probably true, though I think we have constructive criticism, so we might not get deleted. Either way they wouldn't like it. And ya, the moving by holding down both mouse buttons does make it difficult to move in tight spaces. So ya. Highly doubtful I will be picking up GW2 in August.

Very sad about the cookie bar... I would enjoy that.

yeah I got stuck in a house for about 20 minutes trying to use the silly wasd keys...just wasnt something I really wanted to learn how to do really. (kinda like moving ALL the keys on your keyboard to new locations, telling people they cant hit use the mouse to hit the skills or numbers....instead you have to TYPE out the name of the skill you wish to use--all the while having no idea where the keys have been moved to and taking tons of damage....yep just not my idea of 'fun').

hubbys back from his weekend off....good thing he brought home a nice chocolate peanut butter cake!

Oh come on, you guys should know better than this. If you don't think there are any negative threads over there, you haven't really looked. Being negative towards the game isn't grounds for your threads being removed. Being openly hostile, aggressive and whiny without at least being constructive with your criticism? Now that is a different story.

But yeah, this is the OT thread. Don't see why the question was even asked.

actually I havent looked, I no longer visit that site ....(for a couple of reasons)

The question was asked because other threads discussing gw2 get deleted....or posts about such (since there IS a whole website devoted to just that game)....

I actually looked around today. Found very few negative threads, not to say they were deleted. But perhaps people really do love the game there. Both cosy and I have found flaws, which we presented with facts to back up such, so ya, we wouldn't get deleted. Yup. So on to a new subject I guess.

Ya, lots of that. Oh well. Some people just don't want to criticize their precious games. They are perfect because they say so.

Pizza, mmmm. I went shooting with my dad before I had dinner and didn't get home till 9. So I had a hot dog and a few chips. Had chicken and mac and cheese tonight. Nothin' special.

Back on the GW2 criticism story, I decided to test out what would happen if you criticized the game in a constructive manner. Turns out most people over there are such huge fanboys that they get all up in arms and immediately assume you don't know how to play any game. If your opinion is different then yours then you are wrong and they are right! Clearly I am an idiot for not liking the game. >.> So much for a mature discussion.

ah another hot day in good ole usa...and another day at the mechanic (that problem I have been having with my brakes...6th try to get it fixed today--think we might finally be done with it)....and got some spray for my coon problems.

hot dog with mac and cheese sounds good (especially if its one of those no name dogs with cheap buns--the BEST!)

making indian tonight--curry tofu over lentils (supposed to be good for us).

Yup, that is pretty much the response I got. Lots of QQ from them. Like they couldn't believe that someone didn't like their precious game. Someone even said I was doing a disservice to myself for not getting GW2. Personally I'd like to see how many of my friends get it and if their are tricks I missed to help me get used to it quicker. But nope, to much fun screaming at me for being different. Meh.

Yup, high here today was 104... Yikes... DO not like.

I need to take my car in to get the tires rotated. Need to check if Farm'n'Fleet will rotate them for free since I bought them their. Maybe take it in Friday? Idk.

I'm gonna make pizza I think. Haven't had pizza in a while.

I got my tires rotated last month (for free)...car had been pulling to the right so thought it was worth it to have them checked--and yeah they werent quite wearing right so a rotation helped.

and yeah, people cant believe that others just dont like playing clones....(some people wont even admit it IS a clone!)....

Ya it is a good idea to do it so that they wear evenly and you can get them to last longer.

Had pizza tonight. Was pretty good. Tombstone is ok, but I didnt' feel like spending more on a better pizza...
